Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian singer-songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk and alternative rock although it has additional elements of punk, funk, hip music and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as an icon of women's rights and Grammy-winning artist is considered to be the first pioneer in DIY music. She was one of the very first musicians to establish her own label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born on 23rd September 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is of Italian roots and her mother was Montreal-born. 32 Flavors is a song written and performed by Ani DiFranco. This song was released on her 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. This song appears on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana on an old slave plantation.
