Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and gained straight As in her A-levels. When asked about her Emmerdale character she stated that she regrets not having had a typical university experience. While at school Coleman was a member of a theater company named In Yer Space with whom she appeared in the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The production also received a positive reception. She was awarded by the audience for her amazing performance. Coleman was offered the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while studying at drama schools in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two awards, for the British Soap Awards as the Best Newcomer, and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman was the replacement for Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role alongside Matt Smith. Moffat selected her to play the role as she was the most effective when working with Smith and was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's worked in film and television projects. However she has been more well-known on TV than in films. Of all the roles Eva has been in, the TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that are the most notable. The former even earned her two Daytime Emmy nominations and gave her a chance to express her creative side through music. Eva is also a philanthropist, businesswoman and the philanthropist. Eva is married to three men and has a child from the second.
