Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. She was a headgirl and earned straight A grades for her A Levels. In response to questions about her role in Emmerdale she replied she regretted not to have had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman participated in a club called In Yer Space at her school. The group was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. She was awarded an award for her performance and the production was also well-received. Coleman was trying to get into drama schools in 2005, was offered Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her as the best newcomer. In the National Television Awards, she received the award for best newcomer with the highest popularity. In 2009, she was awarded nominations for two categories including Best Actress-Sexiest Female as well as Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman got her TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press event on 21st of March, 2012, that Coleman will take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked alongside Smith, and that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved with numerous film and TV projects. Her most well-known work is her TV work than films. Eva was in a number of characters on TV, however two stand out: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas' in CSI Miami. The role that she first appeared on television earned two Daytime Emmy nominations, and allowed her to develop her love for music. In addition to being an actor, Eva is a philanthropist and an businesswoman. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
