Coleman is a Lancashire native. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A grades throughout her A-levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale Coleman expressed her regrets about not attending a university. Coleman began working with a theater organization, In Yer Space while during her time at university. She performed with them in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. She received an award for her performance while the production was also praised. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. She was named Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. For the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. In the 21st day of March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman will be playing his companion on Doctor Who alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her for the role because she proved to be the most efficient with Smith and was faster at speaking than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been involved within the film industry since 1987. There is no doubt that she is more influential on projects for TV than films. Eva is known best for her work as her character, Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. It was the former that gave Eva two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy. The actress also had the chance to express her creative side via music. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and the philanthropist. She was married three times and has a daughter from her first husband.
