Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman was head of the class of Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A levels. When discussing her character on Emmerdale, Coleman stated that she regrets not having had a typical university experience. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while at school. She performed with them in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was well-received as well as the show was given favorable reviews. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat spoke at a news conference that Coleman was set to play the companion of Doctor Who along with Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her to play the part because she was most successful with Smith as well as speaking faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been within the film industry since 1987. In fact, she has made a bigger impact in TV-related projects than film. Eva is best known for her roles as Doctor. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. The latter brought her two nominations for an 'Emmy for Daytime. Additionally, she was able to showcase her creativity by performing music. In addition to being a performer, Eva is also a donor and an businesswoman. Eva is the wife of three husbands, and two children from the first.
