Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head of the school and scored straight A's in her A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character she replied she regretted having not had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman when she was still in High School, was a member of the theatre company In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. An award was presented to her for her presentation, while the show was received well. Coleman, who was looking to audition for drama college in 2005, was offered Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two prizes. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her for the role due to her ability to work with Smith as well as the fact that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field for more than 30 years and is associated in a variety of TV and film projects. She is however, more recognized for her TV shows than movies. Eva was in a number of parts on the screen, but two stand out: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas' in CSI Miami. Her first TV role earned 2 Daytime Emmy nominations, and helped her develop her passion for music. Eva is an entrepreneur, and also an actress. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
