Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for more than forty years. Most famously, she is known for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. After that, she performed in numerous Broadway shows before becoming the most famous on stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. In the same calendar year she released her first music album called It's Tina Time. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. In New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her friendship to Lee Strasberg. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to juggle between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character contrast to her image of an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Recently Tapping has also emerged as an acclaimed director of well-known TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August in 1965. The family moved to Toronto for her early years. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She has lived there from then on.
