Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the US for the past forty years. Her most well-known role is for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). In the 1950s, she began her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Then, in 1956 she made her big break with a performance on Broadway along with Li'l abner. The same year, She released Her first album of music It's time for Tina. Louise began her Hollywood career in 1958, as she played Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a film that was dramatic. It was an enormous hit and Louise earned an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. When she was in New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her relationship and friendship with Lee Strasberg. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. The actress signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career with ease between Broadway television and Hollywood acting in somber roles against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary but she also was an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural & The 100. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three which is where she spent the rest of in the adolescent years and childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has remained there ever since.
