Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the US for over forty years. Her most well-known role is for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). In the 1950s, she started her career as an actress on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina in the in the same year. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. When she was an undergraduate at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next memorable role came from 1964, when she was signed by CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise continued to juggle her work between Broadway TV and Hollywood playing more serious characters as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she has also made a name for herself as a director who has been successful in various well-known television shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August in 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto for her childhood. Following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and is a resident of Vancouver ever since.
