Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American artist, writer and actress, best known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s, beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, in which Li'l abner was big in the National Theatre. In the same year, she launched her first album of music It's the Right Time to Tina. Louise embarked on a journey to Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden, a character from God's Small Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise got an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's pupil. Louise joined CBS in 1964, to portray Ginger Grant. Louise did a great job juggling Broadway as well as Hollywood. She played somber different characters, which contrasted with the glamorous doll she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the last couple of years she's also made an impact as a highly successful director of several well-known television series including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has resided there ever since.
