Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, well-known for her character Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. In the 1950s, she began her acting career on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming huge in the national theater arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. In the same year, she launched her first album of music It's the Time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden in God's little Acre a drama film released 1958.The movie received wide acclaim and Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. The year 1964 saw her win the role of her life when CBS contracted her to play Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her professional life in between Broadway TV and Hollywood, portraying more somber roles, as opposed to her image as an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. Recently, however she's made her distinction as a producer of many popular TV shows, including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. She and her family relocated to Toronto at the age of three where she subsequently spent her childhood and adolescence. After being chosen for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and was there ever since.
